This is For All the People That Want to Start Something

This is for all the people that want to start a business, any kind, but think it’ll be a lot of hard work that might be wasted if the business doesn’t take off do well.

I hate to break it to you, but it is. It’s a lot of hard work. It’s a lot of sleepless nights. It’s a lot of giving up the things you love to do and time with friends.

But guess what: it all pays off. Every hard worked moment you make while all your friends are out having fun – they pay off. You might ask why, or how. It’s because you end up loving every moment of it. You love working on the passion that you see potential in, and you love learning new things about it that serve as mind blowing stories for those moments you do have with friends. Because while they were out having a night they won’t remember in a week, you were working to build a lesson that will last a lifetime.

If there’s one thing you take away from reading any of this, it’s that I was more than reluctant to give up all those things when starting EJ Creatives (shit, I still am), but the distractions slowly phased out as I learned how to prioritize. I used everything I loved doing – hanging out with friends, partying, watching my favorite shows, playing League of Legends, all the way down to EATING… – as a reward system. It gets really productive really fast, because I learned one thing that’s going to stick me for the rest of my life, “If you really want to do something, you will MAKE TIME for it.”

I love hanging out with my friends going to parties, and even more than that I love League of Legends, but when I put a restriction on the requirements before I could do either, I got the work done a lot quicker so I could have fun. And as time progressed, I noticed my efficiency go up, and I had to make sure the rewards really felt like rewards, so I had to push myself to do myself to get more done before I could reward myself. It got to a point where I only reward myself roughly two random days a week, basically a split up weekend, and I’m sure it’s only going to become less as I keep going.

But I love it. And if you really believe in whatever you want to do, you’ll love it too.
